The 36th SAIRAC Golf Day held at The Lake Club, Benoni on 14 March, boasted a full field of players and industry presence on almost all the tee boxes.

Winners of the day

Johannesburg committee members presented the following prizes:

  • The winning four ball for the day winning the new Baltimore Aircoil Company SA (BAC) floating trophy sponsored in 2024, as well as a Lithe 7.5 litre frost-free single door refrigerator; portable car cooler with electronic warming and cooling function; and other gifts. The prizes were handed out by Ngoni Kundhlande to the winning team from LG Electronics: Deon Classen, Derick de Wit, Christo Kruger and Kyle Tolley.
  • The best individual SAIRAC member (sponsored by Metraclark and A-Gas). The Chris Beattie Metraclark Floating Trophy and prizes was handed out by Johan Jooste to the winner Kristoff du Plessis.
  • The best individual non-SAIRAC member (sponsored by Evapco). The prizes were handed out by Traci and Julia to the winner Deon Classen.
  • The best four-ball second place prize (sponsored and handed out by Francois Schoombie) went to team Kovco: Derek Verreynne, Ruan Janse van Vuuren, Leigh Loots and Regardt du Preez.
  • The third-place four-ball prize (sponsored by Concept Clean Africa and handed out by Russell Thomas) went to team Premium Air Conditioning: Pierre Joubert, Hannes Goosen, JD van Tonder and Neil Gardner.
  • The fourth-place four-ball prize (sponsored by SAIRAC) went to team RPM Engineers: Ettienne Muller, Dewald Muller, Karl Bands and Selmo das Neves.
  • The fifth-place four-ball prize (sponsored by SAIRAC) went to team Evapco: Andre van der Merwe, Marius du Plessis, Dieter Fourie and Robin Grey.
  • The sixth-place four-ball prize (sponsored by SAIRAC) went to team TCL: Peter Stevenson, Hugo Dreyer, Lorenze Pucciatti and Chris Jardim.
  • The seventh-place four-ball prize (sponsored by SAIRAC) went to team Dunham-Bush: Marcel Marwues, Jaco du Toit, Charl Viljoen and Kevin Johnstone.
