New branch opening for TecsaReco

The official opening of the Centurion branch took place at the end of September – to serve the Centurion area and surrounds.

This site is the newest addition to the business’ distribution network and will support the local area that predominantly services the commercial and industrial sectors. Although the Midrand and Gezina branches are considered “closely located”, each branch in fact caters to a specific and different client base.

“After taking some time in the move and setup to the official opening, this branch will now be open to the general public in terms of purchasing appliance spares, however refrigeration and air conditioning units and components will still only be sold to contracting companies and professionals. With a larger, better facility and showroom, we will be able to continue to help our clients with the best service,” said Chris Jardim, branch manager.

Adding to Jardim’s comment, Gareth Smit, regional manager (north) for TecsaReco said, ”Interestingly, the Pretoria branch that has essentially moved to Centurion was one of the main original Reco branches before the merger some years back that resulted in the TecsaReco name change. That area however has lost its appeal over recent times, and we noticed that our clients were visiting that branch far less because of the general area deterioration, and so the opportunity to move to an upgraded facility with the benefit of having a 2000sqm warehouse was the clear choice and will enable us to grow our footprint even further. The site is also ideally located for the targeted clientele so access for our customers is easy and safe, and bringing our offering closer to the end users means better convenience.”

The branch opening welcomed some of TecsaReco’s premium clients and product suppliers that were able to network as well as enjoy the food and refreshments served. Top management was also in attendance. The team subsequently and attentively ensured that all guests were well cared for throughout the afternoon. Many stories were shared as well as discussions held around general business and trading conditions. One point of note was the uplifted mood in the industry of late as more projects come online after an extended period of suppressed trade.

Some OEM suppliers also took the opportunity to support clients in any technical questions they may have. These included Carel, AB Controls (Full Gauge), Danfoss, Eckerle and TCL. Several of the guests engaged representatives and had meaningful dialogues. Also on display for clients to view was the Friga system units that have recently been re-launched to the refrigeration market with improvements.

Through a couple of heartfelt comments, some guests offered compliments and revealed their satisfaction in dealings with the TecsaReco staff and even their willingness to make a plan on their orders at all hours of the day or night – which was much appreciated and respected. In one client’s view, “That is what keeps us coming back – dealing with people who know how to make a plan and understand what service means to our businesses.” Another commented, “We know we can always rely on our contact at TecsaReco and trust is a big part of business relationships.”
