Strong exhibitor demand has already resulted in additional exhibition space being secured for FRIGAIR Cape Town 2027, with new bookings continuing to be confirmed.

With more than eight months still to go before exhibitor planning enters full swing, demand for stand space at FRIGAIR Cape Town 2027 has exceeded expectations. Organisers have confirmed that exhibition space is selling rapidly, prompting the acquisition of additional floor space at the Cape Town International Convention Centre (CTICC) to accommodate growing interest from across the HERVAC and cold chain sectors.
The exhibition, which will take place 2–4 March 2027, marks the first step in FRIGAIR’s expansion beyond Gauteng. A Durban edition is scheduled to follow, creating new opportunities for industry engagement in key regional markets. Both events will be co-located with the Industrial Technology Exhibition, further strengthening their appeal to exhibitors and visitors alike.
Owned by SAIRAC and organised by Interact Media Defined and Montgomery Group Africa, FRIGAIR has established itself as Africa’s leading dedicated HERVAC exhibition. The regional expansion reflects the industry’s growing appetite for accessible, high-quality platforms that bring together manufacturers, suppliers, contractors, consultants, engineers, facility managers and end users.
The pace of bookings has reinforced confidence in the regional model. Organisers report strong interest from both established industry leaders and companies seeking to strengthen their presence in the Western Cape market. Among the latest companies to confirm their participation are ebm-papst South Africa, VacServe and BITZER. Several additional exhibitors are currently finalising their arrangements, with further announcements expected in the coming months.
The strong exhibitor response reflects the importance of the Western Cape economy and its reliance on refrigeration, cooling and energy-efficient HVAC technologies. Agriculture, food processing, export logistics, cold storage, retail and hospitality all depend heavily on reliable temperature-controlled systems, while ongoing investment in commercial property, healthcare facilities and data centres continues to drive demand for advanced cooling solutions.
For companies operating in the Western Cape and neighbouring regions, the exhibition will provide direct access to leading suppliers, technical experts and new product innovations without the need for extensive travel.
Visitors can expect:
• Access to the latest HERVAC technologies and product innovations
• Direct engagement with manufacturers, distributors and suppliers
• Technical discussions and problemsolving opportunities with industry specialists
• Valuable networking with peers and decision-makers
• Insights into energy efficiency, sustainability and regulatory developments
• Exposure to advancements in refrigeration and cold chain technologies
• Opportunities to identify new suppliers, products and business partnerships
• Participation in SAIRAC workshops and technical presentations
A key advantage of the regional format is its ability to align more closely with the industries that drive local economies. In the Western Cape, refrigeration and cooling technologies are fundamental to agricultural exports, food production and cold chain logistics.
The Port of Cape Town remains a critical gateway for export activity, while growing investment in infrastructure and commercial development continues to create opportunities for the HERVAC sector.
SAIRAC has also confirmed that a workshop programme will form part of the exhibition. Although the final programme is still under development, attendees can expect practical, industry-focused sessions covering emerging technologies, best practices, regulatory developments and professional growth opportunities relevant to today’s HERVAC environment.
Additional information regarding exhibitors, speakers and workshop schedules will be announced closer to the event.
The enthusiastic response to FRIGAIR 2025 demonstrated the industry’s appetite for exhibitions that combine technical learning, product innovation and business networking. Early demand for FRIGAIR Cape Town 2027 suggests that momentum is continuing to build, with exhibitors recognising the value of establishing a presence before available space becomes limited.
As preparations continue, industry professionals are encouraged to secure their participation early and mark the dates in their calendars.
By bringing leading technologies, expertise and networking opportunities closer to key regional markets, FRIGAIR Cape Town 2027 is set to become an important fixture on the industry’s calendar and a valuable platform for business growth, knowledge sharing and industry advancement.
