Sixteen young engineers from countries around the world will battle it out at the Nürnbergmesse in Germany in October in the refrigeration and air conditioning category of the WorldSkills Competition.
Taking place during the Chillventa exhibition, this WorldSkills Competition 2022 Special Edition replaces the original finals scheduled for Shanghai. Already weakened by a reduced number of competing nations due to the covid pandemic, the competition in Shanghai was cancelled at the end of May due to continuing lockdowns in that city and the ongoing pandemic prevention and control restrictions in China.
The refrigeration and air conditioning skills final is one of 62 skill competitions being held in this WorldSkills Special Edition over 12 weeks in 15 countries between 7 September and 26 November.
The participating nations in the refrigeration and air conditioning final are: Australia, Chinese Taipei, Germany, France, Hong Kong, India, Iran, Japan, Canada, Korea, Namibia, Austria, Philippines, Portugal, Spain and South Africa.
The competition will be taking place in Hall 3 at the Nürnbergmesse. The opening ceremony will commence on 9 October at 18.00, with the awards and closing ceremony on 14 October at 19.00.
